Write for GearPuff
We publish gear reviews and buying guides written by people who actually use the stuff. If you test first and hype later, we want to hear from you.
What we're looking for
GearPuff covers four areas: smart gadgets, smart home, wearable tech, and wellness gadgets. We want original, experience-based pieces in those lanes, not rehashed manufacturer blurbs.
- Product reviews. You bought or were given the product, you tested it for real, and you'll say what annoyed you.
- How-to guides. Step-by-step help that gets a reader from problem to solved.
- Roundups and comparisons. Honest shortlists that rank options and explain the trade-offs.
What we won't publish
- Content copied from another site or spun by AI with no first-hand testing.
- Pieces that push a product we haven't vetted, or that hide affiliate links.
- Anything outside our four gadget categories.
How to pitch
Send a short email to hello@gearpuff.com with:
- The working title and the product or topic.
- Why you're qualified to write it (what you've tested, where you've published).
- The angle, in two or three sentences.
We read every pitch and reply within two weeks. If it's a fit, we'll send our contributor guidelines and rates.
Our editorial standards
Every published piece follows the same rules we hold ourselves to: test before you claim, name the flaws, and disclose any affiliate relationship. Our full affiliate disclosure explains how we handle links, and our review process page shows how we vet gear.
